They display a brand new style of porcelain combining Arita’s 400-year heritage of techniques and the creativity of designers known worldwide. They sell a full line-up of “2016/” and have a café connected to the shop. You can enjoy drinking coffee with a brand cup of your choice.

The showroom and a factory of Gen-emon Kiln was founded 260 years ago. They always sell regular products and new arrivals over two categories: tableware for daily use and art objects for decoration. You can always have a look around the gallery and buy products during business hours, and if you make a reservation you can also join a factory tour on weekdays. ‘in blue Akatsuki’ is the factory and gallery of Mr. Akio Momota, a ceramist making “Arita-yaki”. They sell tableware, wine ware and vases. You can have a look around the showroom and buy

KIHARA shop is open in a mall “ARITASERA” run by The Arita Porcelain Wholesale Cooperative. Using traditional techniques, they make and sell original brand KIHARA’s products with new ideas and designs to enhance a modern lifestyle.

Kinshodo shop sells a variety of porcelain goods including Japanese tableware and art crafts mainly focused on “Arita-yaki” and “Hasami-yaki” produced in Hasami town, Nagasaki. The shop is located in a mall “Arita Sera” run by The Arita Percelain Wholesale Cooperative. It has an original brand “Lin” of porcelain that has a shining metallic and fantastic glaze. You can see the complete collection of this brand in the store.

This is a showroom and a factory producing “Arita-yaki”. They always sell regular products and new arrivals. You can always have a look around the showroom and buy products during business hours. If you make a reservation, you can also have a look around a factory for a fee of 800 yen. Moreover, if you make a reservation you can try painting, shaping ceramics on ‘rokuro’, a pottery wheel and transferring graphics. You can contact them and make a reservation by either phone or email. Their specialty is “Treasure Hunting”, which is a purchase of all-you-can-pack potteries in a basket. You can try two different courses for either 5000 yen or 10000 yen with a 90-minute time limit. You do not need a reservation.

This is the showroom of KORANSHA, a well-established “Arita-yaki” maker. You can see and buy a numerous number of regular products and new arrivals in showcases set on two floors during business hours. Moreover, on the 2nd floor, you may be charmed to find art works such as the works displayed in World Exposition in Paris 1867 and purveyors to the Imperial Household Agency. You can see them for free.

This is the factory and showroom of Riso Porcelain producing “Arita porcelain”. They have a global reputation, and famous chefs come to see and buy their products from all over the world. If you make a reservation, you can have a look around the factory and the showroom as well as shopping. Please call them to make a reservation.

This is a factory and a showroom run by Sagadan (Saga Cardboard Firm), which is a package maker established in 1957. They mainly produce packages for Arita porcelain and fancy boxes, and have lately started to produce new products using Arita porcelain such as kaleidoscopes, fountain pens, wine glasses and music boxes. They sell regular products and new arrivals and you can have a look around the showroom and buy products whenever it’s open. If you make a reservation for a group of 5 or more, you can join a workshop of handmade kaleidoscopes. The fee is 2800 yen including the price of the original kit and the lesson. This is a studio and showroom run by ceramic artists of “Arita-yaki”, Tatsuya Sakamoto and his father, Yoshihiro. You can have a look around the showroom and buy products during business hours. It is a factory and a showroom run by Arita porcelain ceramists over three generations, the late Mr. Seiroku Nakamura who was called “God of Rokuro” (potter’s wheel), Mrs. Emiko Nakamura and Mr. Seigo Nakamura. They sell the Nakamura family’s creations and you can have a look around the showroom and buy products whenever it’s open. You may see a replacement of some products with others after they have an exhibition. GALLERY TETSUKA displays and sells Arita porcelain in their showroom. They sell regular products and new arrivals made by various ceramists such as Fumie Tanaka, Hitomi Nakashima, Ryota Ishihara and Satoru Doi. You can have a look around the showroom and buy products whenever it’s open. If you are seeking works produced by up-coming young ceramists, this showroom is highly recommended.

Tsujihitachi Gama ‘s showroom and factory makes Arita porcelain, which was established more than 350 years ago. They have been providing their porcelain as a purveyor to the Imperial Household since the beginning of Edo period (17th century), so you can see a lot of porcelain related to the Imperial Family. They always sell regular products and new arrivals, and you can have a look around the showroom and buy products whenever it’s open. YAMAHEI GAMA is a factory and a showroom producing “Arita-yaki”. They have a modern showroom and sell a full-lineup of their original brand’s products. You can have a look around and buy products during their business hours. Their specialty is the porcelain called EGG SHELL, which is as thin as eggshell. If you make a reservation, you can take a factory tour.

Yamato pottery shop was established in 1920, and sells Hizen district porcelain such as “Arita-yaki” and “Hasami-yaki” produced in Hasami town, Nagasaki. It is located in a mall “ARITASERA” run by The Arita Percelain Wholesale Cooperative. They always sell regular products and new arrivals.

Yusendo is located in the ARITASERA mall run by The Arita Porcelain Wholesale Cooperative. They have a good selection of porcelain such as government designated traditional crafts, “Arita porcelain” and “Karatsu pottery”, and “Mikawachi porcelain (or Hirado porcelain” produced in Sasebo city, Nagasaki. They sell both traditional products and new arrivals.

This is the factory of Soekyu Seitousho having produced “Hizen Yoshida Porcelain” for three generations in Ureshino city, Saga. If you make a reservation you can take a factory tour. There are more than 10 porcelain factories around Soekyu Seitousho. Please enjoy yourself visiting porcelain factories. In the same district, there is also Hizen Yoshida Pottery Museum exhibiting typical goods from all of the factories producing Hizen Yoshida pottery.

This is the showroom and factory of Hatamantoen producing “Imari porcelain”. They sell regular porcelain in the traditional style called “Nabeshima style” and new products using modern technology. You can always have a look around the showroom during their business hours and if you make a reservation you can also take a factory tour on weekdays. Moreover, if you make a reservation, you can enjoy kneading clay and making a type of porcelain called “Raku-yaki”. Please call them to make a reservation.

This is a shop specializing in Karatsu pottery. Since they opened the shop in 1976, they have sold products focused on the works of 3 great ceramists from Saga, Mr. Tarouemon Nakazato, Mr. Kakiemon Sakaida and Mr. Imaemon Imaizumi. They have a good selection of Karatsu pottery and now they are also featuring promising young ceramists’ works.

This is the showroom and factory of Maruta Nobumasa Gama producing “Kuromuta pottery” boasting 420 years of history. They sell tableware, wine cups, tea cups and vases in the showroom so that you can enjoy having a look around the showroom, shopping and taking a factory tour whenever it’s open. If you make a reservation, you can also enjoy pottery experience in a group of 10-15 people. It takes 4 hours and the fee is 5000 yen per person. This is the showroom and factory of Sato Gama which had inherited the tradition and design of the local Saga product “Shiraishi pottery”. They sell traditional and new products so that you can enjoy looking around the showroom, shopping and a factory tour whenever it’s open. This is the showroom and factory of Kankosuiyo run by Takeo pottery ceramists, Mr. Hideki Yamamoto and his son Sojiro. Kanko Suiyo’s tableware is used in luxury hotels in Japan. They have tableware, vases and objet d’art in the showroom, and if you make a reservation you can have a look around the showroom and shop. The showroom is handmade by the Yamamoto family and has a warm and pleasing atmosphere. Please call them to make a reservation.

This is the factory and showroom of Toma Gama producing potteries made of soil and grass from a mountain in Takeo. They sell tableware, wine cups and lighting equipment. You can have a look around the showroom, buy products and take a factory tour whenever it’s open. They have an irregular schedule, so we would like to recommend you to call them and check in advance if it’s open. You can also have a pottery making experience with a reservation if their schedule permits. It would be great to make a reservation 3 days in advance. A reservation should be made by phone.

This is a factory of Nakahara Keihou Factory, producing “Furyu mask”, one of the traditional local products specified by the Saga prefectural government. Furyu mask is used when “Men Buryu” dance of Saga isperformed. They also carve wood and make wooden animals. If you would like to have a look around the factory, you need to make a reservation. There is not a showroom but you can buy their products if you order in advance. Moreover, if you make a reservation, you can experience making your own mask. Please call them to make a reservation.

This is the showroom and factory of Soejima Glass Industry producing “Hizen vidro”, hand-made glass and designated as an “Important Intangible Cultural Property” of Saga. They sell their traditional products in the showroom. You can take a factory tour whenever it’s open. If you visit the factory with more than 8 people, however, you need to make a reservation. This is the showroom and factory of Asuka Factory, producing “Morotomi furniture”, one of the traditional local products of Saga prefecture. It is located in the area where there are many Morotomi furniture’s factories. They sell traditional and new designs and you can have a look around the factory and make purchses whenever it’s open. They have a baby-nursing and diaper-change space so that customers with babies, strollers or wheelchairs can feel comfortable to stop by. This is the showroom and factory of LEGNATEC, producing “Morodomi furniture”, one of the traditional local products of Saga prefecture. Products of LEGNATEC have been growing popular overseas in recent years. They have a large and open showroom and sell their traditionaland new products. You might well spend half a day walking around and enjoying the large selection of items. You can have a look around the showroom and shop whenever it’s open. This is the factory of Mimatsu known as “M.SCOOP”, the brand of wooden products such as smartphone stands and glasses stands. They don’t have a factory tour, but if you tell them what you want to buy in advance you can purchase their products. Please contact them by phone.

This is the showroom and factory of Tohma Corporation established about 90 years ago, producing “Morodomi furniture”, one of the traditional local products of Saga prefecture. They sell about 400 items such as cabinets, tables, couches and so on. If you make a reservation you can have a look around the factory and showroom. Since items at the showroom are for wholesale only, retail customers cannot shop there.

This is the showroom and factory of Nabeshima Dantsu Yoshijima Family, producing cotton carpets “Nabeshima Dantsu”. Nabeshima Dantsu is specified as one of Saga’s traditional local products by the Saga prefectural government. There is an exhibition explaining the history of Nabashima Dantsu on the 1st floor, and a showroom on the 2nd floor. You can have a look around the showroom and buy products whenever it’s open. Since they produce a product on demand, you can receive your product only after a few months.

This is the factory of Kuriyama shop producing “Nishikawanobori bamboo crafts”, one of the traditional local products of Saga. Craft men work on the full hand process of making bamboo called “Hachiku” into thin sticks with a sickle and a small knife and weaving them into a product.　If you make a reservation, you can take a factory tour. At the factory you can purchase from a selection of bamboo baskets, lunch boxes and so on.

This is the factory producing zodiac clay bells known as “Nogomi doll”, which are popular as a gift of Yutoku Inari shrine in Kashima city. If you make a reservation you can have a look around the factory. There is an exhibition in the factory and they display their zodiac clay dolls, Hina dolls (girl’s day dolls) and Seven Fortune Gods, and you can buy their products. This is a factory of ISSHINDO, a package maker established in 1956. They produce boxes for international and domestic luxury brand products such as “Arita porcelain”, a national traditional craft. Recently they have been applying their technology to producing their original boxes “ISSINDO FOLDING BOX”. A factory tour is not currently available.

This is the showroom and factory of Eguchi doll shop, producing “Yumino dolls”, one of the traditional local products of Saga prefecture. Yumino dolls are clay dolls similar to Hakata dolls and include whistles in the shape of pigeons and Hina dolls (girl’s day dolls). They sell their regular line and also new designs. You can have a look around the showroom and make purchases and take a factory tour whenever it’s open. Also, if you make a reservation, you can have a doll painting experience with up to 6 people. This is a factory run by Mr. Masahiro Takayanagi producing “Osaki dolls”, the traditional clay doll of Saga. He has the factory in his house, so you need to make a reservation in advance if you would like to see the factory. There is no showroom but a selection of his traditional products and new designs are displayed in the factory so that you can buy them. This is a showroom run by Saga Nishiki Organization which trains new artists making Saga Nishiki so that the next generation will carry on its traditional techniques. They have regular products in the showroom and you can have a look and buy products whenever it’s open. Also, they have a show making Saga Nishiki everyday so that you can see it. This is the showroom and factory of Nao-Tesuki Washi producing Nao handemade washi paper. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and the showroom is a Japanese old style house built 200 years ago. They sell their traditional and new products and you can have a look around the showroom and enjoy shopping and a factory tour whenever it’s open.
